Rindercella

This is a family favorite. I think this was recorded September 7, 2013. This is one of the last family events my dad attended. Many have asked to see this and aren’t on social media. So I’m sharing this for everyone to see.

Rindercella is a gittle lirl that lives in a hig bouse and a very famous father, and her father died. And so, Rindercella was left to live with her ugly mep-stother and her three sugly isters in the big house.
She lived in this kand gringdom that had a prandsome hince that had no weautiful bife. So he wanted to marry the most beautiful girl in his kig bingdom. So he put out a notice and he said “we’re going to have a bancy fall. And whoever the geautiful birl that I bring to the ball and she will become my woving life.”
The prandsome hince put out the notice and everybody got the notice except Rindercella because her ugly mep-stother and her three sugly isters kept it from her.
Rindercella had some other friends, Mauque the jouse and Dunno the brog and they made her this deautiful bress with the gairy fodmother. And the gairy fodmother made her this deautiful bress. And Rindercella was all set to go to the bancy fall and the two sugly isters shore to treads the dress.
The gairy fodmother but the deautiful bress back together and Rindercella went to the bancy fall. And the prandsome hince met Rindercella and he danced every dance with her. But the gairy fodmother said “you must come back before the mock strikes clidnight.” And when the mock struck clidnight, Rindercella store down the trairs and she slopped her dripper. She slopped her dripper, the slass glipper, she slopped it right onto the stairs.
So the next day, the prandsome hince went from house to house (that can’t be changed because it comes out the same) and he said, “whoever wears the slass glipper, I will make her my weautiful bife.” And he kept trying on this slass glipper on everybody, all of Rindercella’s sugly isters, Drucella and I don’t remember the other bazy critch, but he tried to fit the slass glipper on them and finally he got to Rindercella and she fit the slass glipper and he gave her all the pupy’s and rearl’s in the kingdom and she became his weautiful bife and they lived happily ever after.

My name is T.J. Hawkins. I live with depression and anxiety. I am not ashamed.

The only person besides my doctor who knows about any of this is my wife. None of my family, my friends, nor my co-workers, know this level of detail I’m about to provide.

I know I stole this title, but before reading this entry, please read the following blog entry by Wil Wheaton, My name is Wil Wheaton. I Live With Chronic Depression and Generalized Anxiety. I Am Not Ashamed. It’s about an 18-minute read, but it has helped me significantly over the years. I have had this post open as a tab in Chrome on my phone to help me get through my depression and anxiety.

In a previous blog, I mentioned that my family took a trip to Mexico. What I didn’t say is on the second day, my wife had to take the kids out to do activities because I was stuck in my room due to anxiety and could hardly function. I read Wil Wheatons’ blog entry to get me functioning again, and we had a wonderful week afterwards.

Pluralsight link/ 2022

I need to start this post by giving an enormous thank you to Pluralsight (PS) & A Cloud Guru (ACG) for inviting me to the greatest experience I’ve had of my professional life. I was able to meet and make new wonderful friends that I probably never would have had the opportunity to meet or interact with in a normal conference setting. And I was able to catch up with online and old friends, some that I had previously met in person and others that I would be meeting for the first time.

My Path to AWS Solutions Architect re-certification

Procrastination/Preparation

Last August, I received an email from AWS informing me my AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification was due to be re-certified. I promptly ignored the email and thought, “I’ve got 6 months, nothing to worry about now.” I got the same email last November and thought the same thing as in August, “I’ve got 3 months, nothing to worry about now.”

How I Made This Blog

Recently, I’ve been answering a lot of questions on the A Cloud Guru forums where students were having difficulty going through the lessons and having to set up WordPress. After going through that, I decided maybe it was time I started blogging. After experiencing the process of setting up RDS and EC2 instances a couple of times (and knowing the cost of running them for the life of the blog), I started to research if there were any Serverless-based options available.
